Gen 1s are Gen 2s?
In essence, yes.
In nuance, no. There are many reasons we draw distinctions between the early Fun World Div stamped 'Weeping' ghost masks, but ultimately all four derive from the original source sculpture and share a great deal of identical features. It's often the painting, sewing, and quality that give them their unique looks.
So "Fun Fact": whether you have a Gen 1, Gen 2, HN, or Splotch you will find these same markings on all four types because they all have lineage to the same original sculpture.
