Collector Highlight #4 Joshua Cain Crowe

We are saddened to hear of the passing of one of our members, Joshua Cain Crowe. Josh was a wonderful and kind collector, a talented crafter, a stunning performer, and a staple of his home community. We send our deepest condolences to his loved ones and honor his time with us by sharing his last contribution to our group today.

1 ) When did you get into Fun World collecting and what was your first mask?

I’ve been collecting masks since I can remember. My very first mask was a plastic devil mask from the local dime store. My first Fun World mask was a RIP skull with cape and a Ghost Face mask. I honestly don’t remember which I owned first, but I still have the skull packed away somewhere.

2 ) What are three of your favorite pieces from your collection currently?

My three favorite would be my tagged Demon masks my partner found for my birthday.

3 ) What is a piece you dream of adding to your collection?

Without a doubt a Gen 1… maybe one day!

4 ) Many collectors come to Fun Tyme from their childhood Halloween nostalgia. Do you have any early memories of Fun World to share?

I remember going to Toy R Us and buying the Ghost Face mask when the movie came out. I made my own robe and scared trick or treaters by playing a “dummy” that year.

5 ) Who is your favorite Fun World character?

I honestly don’t have one, they’re all amazing in their own right! Each mask is so unique and brings back great memories.

6 ) Do you have other hobbies or collections?

I’m a collector of many items. I also collect Fostoria American glassware and Christmas blow molds. Some of my hobbies are sewing, jewelry making, wig design, makeup artist, and prop building. Making anything with my hands, I’m very crafty.

7 ) What is a mask you are sad you let go?

I didn’t let it go per se, but I let someone borrow my original Scream mask and they never gave it back. It was probably a Gen 1.

8 ) Do you have anything you want to plug or shout out?

A huge thank those who made this group and bring collectors together to share knowledge of these pieces.
